Susan B. Anthony, Liberty, and Justice?

If you are questioning "real" women the following information, from the U.S. Mint should answer your question. Now, if you include female "images" the list gets longer. Check out the website, it's really interesting.

1. How many women are on circulating coins? Sacagewea and Susan B. Anthony are the only women honored on a circulating coin. Both are on dollar coins. Susan B. Anthony Dollars are dated 1979, 1980, 1981 (numismatic items only) and 1999. Sacagawea appears on the Golden Dollar, issued from 2000 to the present.
2. How many women have been portrayed on United States circulating and commemorative coins? Our records show that U.S. coins have portrayed the following women:

Circulating Coins:

Sacagewea on the dollar coin: 2000-Present
Susan B. Anthony on the dollar coin: 1979,1980 and 1999
Commemorative Coins:

Dolley Madison on the Dolley Madison Silver Dollar: 1999
Queen Isabella of Spain on the Columbian Exposition Quarter Dollar: 1893
Eunice Kennedy Shriver on the Special Olympics Silver Dollar: 1995
Virginia Dare, with her mother Ellinor Dare, on the Roanoke Island, North Carolina Half Dollar: 1937
(The Annual Report of the Director of the Mint for FY 1937 (page 6) mentions Virginia Dare by name. Other publications, such as R.S. Yeoman's "Guide Book of United States Coins," and Q. David Bowers' "Commemorative Coins of the United States: A Complete Encyclopedia," have identified her mother as Ellinor Dare. Although some might argue that the mother and daughter images on the Roanoke coin don't fall into the classical "portrait" category, all available evidence indicates that the image was meant to represent real people. Therefore, seven real women have been portrayed on U.S. coins in the history of the Mint.)
