I ask this because I certainly wouldn't. Imagine if the nation is a corporation. This corporation is deeply in the red, I mean sinking and sinking fast. The investor are pissed off as hell and expect you to pull a miracle out of your *** or they will fry you for the past guy's mistakes, who has only been able to keep the company by issuing massive amount of bonds. In addition, you have a hugh overhead, two subsidiary that is bleeding you dry and is extremely difficult to get rid of without hurting your company's reputation and stock price.

In addition, you have too many employees in too many extra departments and firing people and closing plant is never popular with your workers who also hold shares in your company.

There is also hostile companies who wouldn't mind seeing your company go down or at least your stock price.

And into all this, you go in knowing a portion of those in your company, WANT you to fail. Would you want this job?

The next president will never have a strong economy, no matter what he does. We are in so much debt now. I would not want to be the next president, because politicians are liars. I don't like to lie.

Okay, I see the analogy. I can see where it's just as emotional of a job to have to do. Consider being a cook though and having to put up with a boss who is an asshole about stuff but it's completely against everything you've ever learned about as far as foodservice...That'll likely be your first foodservice job where you thought you weregoing to cook good food for people from ready made stuff...then later on down the road you run into another school of thought which says fry EVERYTHING and avoid the controversy...then you end up in a proper kitchen where you have to follow everything to the letter...and you've done your best according to what you've been trained to do...and then the ******* president comes along and tells you something completely different...you don';t know whether to cook pork or beef because they just want MEAT...guess what...YOU are the meat!

Nice analogy. I'd give warning of an imminent merger, buy stock when it plummets, then declare the merger off, sell the stock when it goes back up, then retire with my cash and make a TV show like Donald Trump.

Yeah!! Of course this is biased, but I think I'd make a good prez. The only problem is I'm waaaay to young!I have views from both political parties. My liberal side is stuff like save the trees! and let's get this war outta here! My conservative sides are things like no gays! and no abortion!

No, I don't see why anyone would want to. Certainly not for money. Probably people do it for fame and to be in the history books.

I personally have no ambition to be glorified/villianized as all presidents are destined to be.

I wouldn't mind but I have too many skeletons in my closet. No matter how good I would do....the media would concentrate more on non issues than what I actually do to better America.
