NO.Dont keep dogs and babies in the same house. There are several reasons. The dogs could make the baby sick if he/she has allergies. And dogs love attention. if they think that u r focusin on the baby more than thm, thn they will start to nip and bite the baby.. and the baby might also hurt the dogs whn he/she gets older which will make them angry.

I would work on moving into my own place. Just for the fact that your father will not help out with the dogs situation for awhile tells me he is not going to change his routine of things for you and that maybe if you dont like it it is time you get your own place.
Dog hair can be a hazard once your baby is crawling and your baby can be allergic to it as well. I would be more concerned with the 3 huge dogs in the house with my baby not so much the hair. Dogs work in packs and if there is jealousy of even one dog they can all pack attack your baby no matter how nice or how much you trust them. Something to think about--- Worry about he dogs more than the hair. Good Luck

oh golly, is this poor baby from the guy you were having sex with while he was dating others? And now you are pregnant and alone?
why don't you give this baby up for adoption to a two parent family where the poor infant won't spend her/his life in day care, missing mommy and being deprived? and then, tell your friends not to have intercourse with guys unless they're marriage ready. It's just not fair to the kids.
Beyond that, you certainly can't make house dogs outdoor dogs on the spur of the moment - that cavalier attitude towards the needs of other beings makes me wonder what kind of empathy you'll have for your own kid. I think lots of babies have lived just fine with dogs. That's really the least of your baby's problems.
Good luck to all of you.

I have a house dog and a 5 month old. A dog being in the house is supposed to help with allergies, she never sneezes or anything around our dog. But when she's around her grandmas cat her eyes get red and she rubs them alot. Just never leave your baby unattended with a dog or any other animal even if they are gentle.

If they shed bad then I'd be asking him to vacuum A LOT once the baby gets here.....especially when the baby gets mobile. You don't want baby crawling around in yucky dog hair and sticking it in his mouth.

i have 3 dogs(large dogs too) but they are short hair and are outside dogs.we don't have a problem with them but we also introduced our little one to them before she came home(my husband took a piece of her clothing she had on in the hospital) and every day we take her out to say hi to them this way there is less chance of them becoming jealous and hurting her.ultimately it is up to your father as it is his house.pets are good for all including baby's.

Nope, the baby is going to have to become accustomed to all kinds of pollutants in the air or were you planning on keeping her in a hermetically sealed plastic bubble?

Do allergies run in your family? If so, the hair could contribute to the early onset of allergies. If not, I don't see the big deal.
