Because they were just that--your first love. You will always remember your first love, because it was a different kind of love--a pure love, one where you knew no pain yet, and it was all unconditional. I still have dreams about my first love too--and in some respect you (and I) may miss the kind of love that we once had...and it's not to say that you don't truly love the one you are with (if that applies to you) but it's just that the love you have now is never going to be the same as your first...think of it this way though...it's always better to have loved and lost (and your new love is probably a lot more mature, deeper and richer than the first)

Yes, because the first love is extremely special in one's heart. Love is a powerful entity. The feelings of your first love will never be forgotten because of this. That feeling of walking on air, surviving on an hour of sleep a day, and looking into his eyes with passion...we never ever forget. I also believe the saying "true love never dies" is true. I still think about my first love and still love my first love which was over 25 years ago. I loved him. That love will never die nor will I ever forget him. : )

I get those dreams sometime too. I'am married and still to this day i do. I think mine is unfinished business is why i do. I have a child by him and he don't want nothing to do with him, And i loved him very much and gave him my heart and soul and he ripped my heart and a piece of my soul is gone. Sometimes you dream of missing them and they come back to you in your dreams and you wake up and noone is there, or dream of being angry at them and you are telling them you are mad at them in your dreams, or you want to tell them you love them still. Dreams are mysterous and hard to figure out.
