hands legs etc come under hardware,,,, even heart and lungs do,,
but,,, software is something that make these ahrdwars run properly,, yes it is the thinking power,,,,, there is no use of hardware without software

SOFTWARE are programs that run on a computer HARDWARE is the stuff a computer consists of IE graphics card sound card modem mouse monitor keyboard are all classed as hardware. WINDOWS XP is a SOFTWARE PROGRAM.

Software are the programs (code) that make a computer do things (such as games, word processing, etc.)

Hardware is the actual, physical computer.

Hardware is what makes your computer run: ie: motherboards, processors, hard drives, memory, video card, sound card, ect.

Software is what makes the computer work/fun related: ie: computer games, windows, office, internet explorer
