My doctors say she is fine but is it normal to be 6.5 months, and your belly isn't solid and is it normal for me not to be feeling the baby move?Is it possible that she's moving but it's not very strong?

During your 2nd Trimester you can request an ultrasound / "Doppler" performed. In the 23rd week you will be able to here the babies heartbeat. Another option would have been to have an Amniocentesis but it's a couple weeks too late for the procedure. If you feel that you need input from another professional then seek it, but do not stress yourself since it will have adverse effects on you and your unborn child. Additionally, your doctor should be made aware of any pre-existing medical conditions you have such as high-blood pressure, obesity, or family related conditions. The difficult and sometimes scary period is before the 18th week, so your pretty much home free and will give birth to beautiful child.

at 23 weeks, you are not 6.5 months along. And you're belly is perfectly fine if it doesn't feel "solid" I don't know why it would feel solid anyway, its got lots of squishy material in there and amniotic fluid. Baby doesn't start to get harder calcified bone till the end of the 2nd and 3rd trimester. My sister was 22 weeks pregnant and had no clue (thought she was only about 3.5 months cause she kept getting periods) She didn't feel her baby move till the middle of her 6th month. Don't worry, if the OB isnt worried.

Be sure to pay attention at all times to make sure that you're not missing it when she moves. I didn't feel mine move for about 2 or 3 days and became worried, my doctor did a non stress test and she was perfectly fine. She just doesn't have alot of room to move around now.

You've never felt her move yet or you've stopped feeling her move?

If she was moving before and you've stopped noticing it, drink a big glass of OJ and lay down for about 30 mins and count movements.

If you've never felt her move, maybe you just haven't figured out what the movements are yet if this is your first? Any time you are still and quiet, pay attention as this is when she is likely to be the most active.

yes it is normal,i didnt start showing till i was about 25-26 weeks, even then you couldnt really tell i was pregnant.my little girl would sometimes not move for 2 days (she was small)try poking your belly see if u get a reaction thats what i used to do.also they are most active when we are asleep although we never feel it until late in the pregnancy, and if you still are worried go and see your doctor you can never be to cautious.good luck!

The entire time I was pregnant with my daughter, I could rarely feel her moving. I fell on Halloween night taking my friend's son trick or treating and freaked out so bad because I couldn't feel her move. Went to the ER and they hooked me to the monitor and she was absolutely fine. i think the best thing you can do is rely on what your doctor is telling you sweetie. Best of luck and congrats on the new addition to your family!

I think you should probably rely on what your doctor says over the opinions of the (mostly) kids on this site...If you don't want to believe your doctor, go get a second opinion from another doctor.

It could be possible that your placenta is in the front of your uterus. This would make the movements muffled and hard to feel. I wouldn' t worry about it quite this soon.
