I'm looking for the title of a book I read years ago. It was about a Catholic boy and a Jewish girl who fell in love. The book follows them throught the years, and he eventually becomes pope and discovers that he has a child by her. Anyone know the title? By the way, it was NOT The Thorn Birds.

I need to know more about the book.do you remember any cliches or quotes from the book? What was the names of the two characters. I need something so I can find it. You have to give me some more facts that you can remember. Was it a popular book and what year did you read it? It would help if I knew more about the story also.For all I know it could be GONE WITH THE WIND...do you know where the story takes place? Could it be a booklet from the Laura Ingles series book? From the west? or did it take place inNew York City or the south? Any feedback would help me to be able locate the book. I woudl be glad to do a search for you. They say I am a whiz and I like a challenge but I still need to know more. susana

Check with a library. Some of the libraries have a way to look up books by subject on their website. Try that. I found a lot of different books, not sure any of them are the one you are looking for.
