But to answer your question, no I don't think the south's population is mostly ignorant hicks and uneducated pregnant teenagers. They could use some culture, though.

People who believe that the south is all ignorant hicks are the real ignorant ones. I am from Texas and when I travel people always ask if I have horses and cows or if I live on a farm. I live right in the middle of Dallas and Fort Worth. We have the Texas Rangers, two Six Flags, and the Dallas Cowboys. The DFW is the fastest growing metropolis in the nation, and it is already huge. The reality of it is, unless you live in L.A. or New York or Hourston (which is also in Texas), I live in a more populated area than you. There are places in Texas where people do have horses and cows and live on farms, but the majority of people here live in big cities. Houston, Dallas, Forth Worth, Austin, Arlington.
