History reveals that every piece of racist legislation that was ever passed and every racist terrorist attack that was ever inflicted on African Americans, was initiated by the members of the Democratic Party. From the formation of the Democratic Party in 1792 to the Civil Rights movement of 1960's, Congressional records show the Democrat Party passed no specific laws to help Blacks, every law that they introduced into Congress was designed to hurt blacks in 1894 Repeal Act. The chronicles of history shows that during the past 160 years the Democratic Party legislated Jim Crows laws, Black Codes and a multitude of other laws at the state and federal level to deny African Americans their rights as citizens.

History reveals that it was Democratic Attorney General, Robert Kennedy that approved the secret wire taps on Dr, Martin Luther King Jr., and it was Democratic President Lyndon Johnson that referred to Dr. King as " that ****** preacher." Senator Byrd referred to Dr. King as a "trouble maker" who causes trouble and then runs like a "coward," when trouble breaks out.

The democratic party puts out a lot of propaganda that they support the little guy.

I think a lot of black Americans believe themselves to be the little guy.

I don't understand it either, but then I also don't understand why so many black people think this country is out to get them. Last I heard, thousands of Union soldiers died fighting for the freedom of all. I hear a lot about slavery from people who have never been slaves. I almost never hear from them about the men who gave their lives to make slavery a thing of the past in this country.

Northern Democrats supported the civil rights movement of the 1960s. President Johnson, a Democrat, pushed for and got voting rights and civil rights legislation. As Democrats continued their support for equal rights, Southern white Democrats left the party and became Republicans. This was the reason why many of the Southern blue states became red.

I don't know whether you've had a history class yet in high school or college, but you should read about these issues from a reputable source such as a textbook or encyclopedia.

LBJ did have a lot to do with CIVIL RIGHTS laws, BUT he couldn't get them passed through congress with out the votes from REP. Even though the Dem controlled congress. Al Gores father voted AGAINST civil rights I agree you should read history books you might learn some thing.
As for BUSH IS HITLER your name gives you away and says a lot about your intelligence

Wow! I didn't know that! Here I had been thinking John Kennedy had proposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act and that Lyndon Johnson pushed it through Congress. And in case you're too stupid to know it, they were Democrats. And if you missed it, Bobby Kennedy - another Democrat who would have beaten Nixon in the '68 election had he not been assassinated - was a champion of civil rights. Boy, are you STUPID!!!!

Lyndon B. Johnson was a dem. Didn't he have a little something to do with the Civil Rights Act of the 1960's? But I can't give you that bit of info without also reminding everyone that Lincoln was a Republican. (The GOP was a little different back then.)

That's not the real question to me anymore. It appears to me the Dems take the black vote for granted and that's not good. The Republicans actively try to get the black vote and appoint minorities to high political positions. They'd do well to be Independents. Really, everyone would. Make these people work for your vote.

The DEMs buy them off with your tax dollars - if they are poor. The buy off keeps them poor in part because as they earn more they lose expensive benefits. These lose of benefits is a mote around them climbing out.

You are correct about the historical democratic party but the party changed dramatically over the years. The current party supports equal opportunity/equal rights legislation and is very supportive of the minority populations in the US.
