Have you ever thought about colors? What if I see red but the color red to me, looks green to you? Does anyone understand this? If I see green grass the grass is yellow in your eyes but still called green? It's a really tripped out thing to think about. It may make your head explode.

Yeah wouldn't it be really cool if we could truly understand and to be able to see what other people see. How is that persons perception of the world different than mine? And we are all trained at a early age what is what. like I tell my 18 month old daughter "that block is blue", and yet she sees it as green, but now she knows it as blue. but if that were true than the parent two houses down might be telling her 18 month old son, who has the exact same block " that color is green" when he actually sees blue, See it would not work. If we all had a different perception of what the color was, then what would happen when my daughter and her son got together? There would be a confusion on what the color of the block actually was. So we have to see the same thing or colors probably wouldn't have been named.Unless we are all are color blind.
Omg I cant believe I had actually thought that one out. Thanks that was fun!

Color is a science. Color is seen because of differing wavelengths of of light. When light hits an object it is either reflected or absorbed and then that light is received by the human eye. So looking at the exact same object, we all see basically the same colors unless we are color blind (no sarcasms intended - truly color blind).

And you thought your head was gonna explode before try understanding that crap. I was taught it but it still is beyond me!

This is called common misconception. People do that all the time. When saying grass, first things in our mind is green whether we see or not. So, our first impression is green regardless what it is.

yes this is called relativism, does thought dictate our perception or vice versa. there are studies that demonstrate however, that all over the world (even in indigenous cultures) human beings perceive the basic colors exactly the same way. So what you are describing would be physically impossible unless you had color blindness.

Yes indeed , i really had these thoughs but not only with colours ..
like ...

What if the person face i see , isn't the face he see's and isn't the face somebody else sees , then you will till me you can both identify his picture , I tell you i think our minds make some points and colours combinations of the object represents in front of us so the face is fixed but the minds are different!

again ..
what if shapes of things to me isn't , as other people see !
And also it's the same answer here !! ..... ;)
