has anyone seen the film "thank you for smoking" is it any good?

i've seen it, it was a bit boring and not nearly as funny as i'd been led to believe, all in all it was a "not-so-good" movie

I had to wait to see it until our local indepedant cinema showed it. It was well worth the wait i loved the whole thing, the idea the film style and especially the black humour.
The only bad thing was Katie Homles she was needed for the plot but also seemed the least well played character.
The guy who plays Seth in The Oc watch out for him he is great!
Great idea for a film it works really well especially as things stand now with all the pressure to stop smoking and it being banned everywhere.

It's a very black comedy and what I would call "American Humour".

It's one of those movies I'd like to see again because there was so much cleverly written wit, I missed quite a bit of it trying to concentrate on the storyline.

One thing that amused me in the movie - Nobody smoked!!!

i wanted to see it but i wanted to get into what i thought would be the right vibe for watching it i.e. by smoking - this didn't go down well with the fascist authorities and so i got chucked out before the opening credits even got rolling -tragic, nez-pa?

I enjoyed it a lot. Very snarky and funny. A very stylish movie.

I agree also that Katie Holmes was the weak link. Her acting was very ho-hum and not particularly convincing.

I enjoyed it, but not as much as I was expecting to. Like they do so often, they put all the best parts in the preview.
