I have never heard that but I love researching word & phrase origins. So I did a little....It means a far distance...as in traveled from hell to breakfast or scattered from hell to breakfast. The only guess I found on any of the origin sites was on PHRASEFINDER.com
"My guess is that it refers to cattle who are scattered so far that it will take all night and until breakfast the next day to round them up."

I'm w/ you....Still doesn't make much sense but there it is !

(1) It is the name of a country music CD.

(2) It is the title of a book (actually, two different books by different authors).

From "Hell To Breakfast" puts together some of the greatest Texas singer/songwriters and gives you an album that many people would stick into their player and listen to for weeks on end. The pure honesty in all of these songs just really amazes me compared to some of the more mainstream side of Country Music.

It's the other way around. The trip ain't really that far. At this point anyway.

Probably one of those rotund military mess sergeants. Garlic ain't enough they gotta add verbatim to it.
