These kids don't need the answers they need help understanding how to figure this stuff out. Why do people just give them the answers? Does it make you feel smarter to know that you just helped someone cheat on their homework? I don't know maybe I'm just a moron.

OOh you have made me feel really bad now.
I just gave someone an answer but only because I was so excited that I knew what the answer was lol. I see some of the questions posted on here and I wouldn't even know where to start. I am sure it wasn't that hard in my day.

I do agree with you though, the whole point of giving a child homework is so they can carry on with what they were taught at school. To test that they did in fact understand what the teacher was saying to them.

It is sad really that children are posting questions on here and not asking their parents for help! Mind you if my children asked me to help with their maths I would be well and truly stumped!

I won't do it again......... I promise :)

What you are saying is kinda silly. You could say that about all the questions that people are asking. In life some should have already figured some of these things out, but they ask so we provide same as the homework questions. Apparently people don't figure things out or they wouldn't be asking.. right?

I totally agree with you. The more that they help the kids understand the answer the more likely they will pass their tests. Remember, these are the people who will be running the country when we are old, let's make sure they learn everything and don't always take the easy way out or we are in trouble later on!

I don't normally provide answers in the Homework Help section but when I do I provide an explanation as well - there's no point simply providing an answer as the person doesn't learn anything from this.

Good for you, John, you have brought up a great issue. I too am amazed at all the people who answer these kids, and I always tell them to Google it or whatever. Today, we have more means of information gathering at our disposal than ever before and yet, the young ones (and some older ones, I am sorry to say) are so utterly lazy they try and get others to do it for them - and sometimes it works!

I see your point and I agree with you. We shouldn't contribute to people's laziness. How are they supposed to learn if we give them the answers?

because they just want the two points for answering and 10 for best answer and think that by giving the answer they might get the best answer points

You are so right. I try just to give them enough to get them started.
