Try checking local newspapers and websites on line under the section where people are giving things away for free. If you get the Pennysaver in your mail, check that, or you could go online to their website. I also think that Cragislist.org has a free section too, just look under for your city.

Try yard sales.

Try freecycle.org

Try AARP.

Try your local Senior Center, social services, or low income services.

The library has free computer access.

I'm not sure, but basic computers are really cheap now... I'm sure you can get a decent one for under $400.00. Ask your kids to chip in and buy you one for your birthday or Christmas/other holiday.

there are sites that offer computer for senior citizens. you might want to search for sites that donate and refurbish computers.
