I've been getting im's on yahoo messenger saying it's from the President of yahoo. it sais yahoo is shutting down and when it restarts there will be a charge of $25.00 a Year. Is this true?

If you go to Yahoo's help page, you'll learn that this is a hoax... If yahoo decides to start charging, then you will get an email from them, and there will be no misspellings, no grammatical errors, and, I guarantee you it will make headlines in the newspapers.

yahoo is shutting down on august seventeenth.they decide to eliminate loose messenger.in case you delete this and don't bypass it on, your call would be deleted.numerous individuals have already been deleted. top click on the gang call of your buddylist and click,deliver prompt message to all in group

It was supposed to happen today, so if it doesn't happen in the next few hours, I guess it was a hoax or rumor like Y2K.
