Yes it is a racket-- go read Eisnehower's thoughts on the Military-Industrial complex. Oh, and just remember-- Eisenhower was a Republican AND a military guy.

What do you think happens after they drop all those bombs, fly all those planes, shoot all the weapons-- they have to replace what they use. So that means they bo back to suppliers and buy more with our tax dollars at surely inflated prices.

DeeCee
This is the only way I could figure out to respond to your Q regarding why not establishing s draft.
Check out HR 163 a bill introducted by Rep. Rangel to reactivate the draft (which failed and even Rangel voted against his own bill and a Senate bill entered by Sen Hollings that also failed. Both Rangel and Hollings are Democrats; Rangel (D-NY) and Hollings (D-SC).

So, why did they fail? Both bills called for all citizens (both male and female) between the ages of 18-24 to serve.Submitted by Democrats...so who and which political party are the real war mongers? Not Pres. Bush and the Republicans.

If you doubt what I say start by looking up Rangel's bill HR163. Time for a political reality check.

No, it seems to be a way of life in some areas
of the World. They fight over everything. Dictators
keep all the big monies and the poor starve and
die or get murdered by their government and
buried in the hundreds in a huge deep pit. It
is a sorry state of affairs but when Muslims
decide everyone should be eliminated from
this earth that aren't of their religion, then there
is a huge problem to even try for "peace"with these
kind of people. Peace is our goal. Elimination
(death) of everyone but themselves is their goal.
I hope you see the difference and see there is no
"racket" involved.
