I mean the reason why condoms were made was to prevent pregnancy, not Guard against Sexual Diseases or Aids. But you still see commercials on Mtv and other staitons for Trojan man condoms saying it's the only way to have safe sex. Talk about stupid!!!!!

I've read that even tho the rates of sexual activity are GREATLY higher among hip-hop music fans than of Gospel music fans, there is a higher rate of HIV infection in Gospel music fans than in the hip-hop music fans.
Let's examine some differences. Ok, Hip-hop fans f*ck like bunnies, but assumingly Gospel fans don't. Hip-hop musicians are constantly talking about safe and safer - sex with condoms. Gospel musicians assume that their fans are pure and virtuous and therefore don't need to know about condoms.....but somehow or another, they are getting HIV at a rate that far exceeds the Hip Hop fans.....I wonder what could possible be the difference????

Actually, the disclaimer on the condoms state that "Condoms are NOT to be used to prevent the possibility of contacting an STD. Only abstinence can prevent STD's.
I'm pretty sure the "safe" part of safe sex, is safeR from getting pregnant!

It is alot safer then not using anything at all.. I don't think that it's stupid...
It's just not 100% safe however, the only way to avoid a STD is by not having sex at all...

Um... condoms are the ONLY things that prevent against STD's other than abstinence. I suggest you do some research.

actually they were designed for both and will do both. condoms keep you from making babies and also keeps you from catching STDs. a condom is cheaper than a kid or the medication to cure or stabilize any STD.

Way back when I was young Condoms were for prevention of the spread of disease. We worried about vaginal warts as well as herpes.

Erm... okay...
its not really stupid. People need to worry more about catching AIDS than having a baby. A baby isn't going to KILL you slowly and painfully. (it might kill your wallet slowly and painfully... but atleast you'll still be ALIVE)

uh...do you know how many people get infected each day? they need to promote that they protect against diseases because stupid people don't remember that you can get std's.
