I do Ok. I sell 20-30 computers a month. I price anywhere between $180. and $600. My rule of thumb is simple. My coist for parts times three is my selling price. 95% of my computers have either Redhat Linux or Puppy Linux on them with Open Office

Me! It is VERY profitable i make about $100-$1000 depending on the price of the machine itself, i only charge 10% of the total computer for labor, and that is STILL cheaper than buying from Alienware or Dell!
