I want to buy one of these two series and i dont know which one. What would you reccomend Friday the 13th or A nightmare on elm street ?

Freddy... Great series that was.
Seen all the Jason to many times now anyway.

I'd go with the Halloween series. The first two are great thrillers even by today's standards. The third was an interesting departure and 4 & 5 are great sequels. It drops off from there a bit, but solid series overall.
Between Freddy and Jason, well both series started off great with 1 & 2 (in both series) being outstanding. But from there, Freddy became essentially a twisted sick comedy of sorts. Jason became stale and predictable. Lots of T&A in the Jason series though... if... you're into... that... sort of

I prefer the Freddy series, as i feel Friday the 13th went downhill after a few movies, yet i can and end up watching the Freddy movies more regularly.

I would get Friday the 13th because its more of a classic.

freddy is more about messing with your head where jason is hack and slash both are timeless classics and i would say both. but i hope that helps you decide.
