Why don't you buy CD's with various songs from various artists. NOW always has many hits songs.
Songs are a personal preference. You are asking people to tell you what you should like.

Um, it would be easier if you specified you favorite genre. But I personally like Bright Eyes. A cd to buy would be "Lifted or the story is in the soil.." But you may not like Bright Eyes....a lot of people dont. His voice can be a bit much. Another suggestion would be "The Wall" by Pink Floyd. Such a classic. Or "Plans" by Death Cab.

My favorite song is Konstantine by Something Corporate. I don't know if you like that music, but it is a wonderful song and is very meaningful. It has helped me cope through being sad, but also is enjoyable when you are in a pleasant mood. Just listen, you'll love it(:

Do you like old, old school? (not sure how old you are...so it is either old school or old, old school depending...lol)
Try the greatest hits of Earth Wind and Fire.
There is not a song in that compilation that isn't amazing.
