I love that album!
Pretentious makes good money and they thought they had something "important" to say about the government.
The reason Insomniac was overlooked is that their type of music wasn't "in" in 1995 when it was released. The rock stations were playing Emenim, Chumbawumba, Fat Boy Slim, etc. It did get some air play, but not nearly as much as American Idiot.

I think that "Insomniac" was definately one of their greatest albums. I just think that Dookie may be a little bit better. People are just into their newer stuff I think. Dont get me wrong here, I just think that some of Green Day's older stuff is really good!

dookie will always be my alltime favorite. it was actually the first cd I ever bought. i'm not that big of a fan of the new stuff, i like the older stuff much better. insomniac is great too, definitely underrated

i LOVE everything by green day... its so hard to say if one album is better than another... but i love dookie and the bass line in long view is my life.... so i dont know. brain stew is one of my favorite songs... agg this is hard...
