or should I say, the only country that thinks that it should be allowed to be different from the rest of the world? Why is that, I wonder? Does it say anything about the level of someone's ambition? The Monroe Doctrine was certainly only the beginning... Now we consider that it is not even necessary to be equal with everyone else, at least let the world as a whole be free of the wmd's.
Can't have it both ways can you, Mr. Bush, your majesty?

I did not mean LITERALLY the ONLY nation obviously if the idiots didn't read between the lines, I am well aware that countries like Russia, France, Great Britain, India, Pakistan, North Korea, China and Israel have them.

I agree with U entirely.
Mr Hypocrite GW, do it my way or no way.
He's a bully & a dangerous man.

Here in the UK UR average man would like 2 know why Mr America has the Nerve 2 support the IRA, financially 2 buy bombs/guns 2 kill innocent men, women & children.
Mention that they're aiding terrorism, is immediately met with waffle regarding what Britain did 2 the Irish & they're merely celebrating their roots/heritage.
No dice, ask Mrs Thatcher 2 explain SHE BANNED ALL MEDIA COVERAGE DURING HER ENTIRE TIME IN DOWNING STREET. She banned everything 2 do with Ireland. Kids weren't even taught about it at school.
How could I or millions of others, had responsibility on what was going on inside Northern Ireland, when didn't even know what was going on?

Think U Americans can identify with how that feels, since the Jews R running UR media & manipulating the News in the U.S. right now.
Do U think U're getting the Truth?

There are tons of countries with nuclear weapons.

Different from the rest of the world? As I said, there are tons of countries with nuclear weapons so really, were not the only "different" country out there. We have a lot because we have the technology to get them. Don't forget ... we have to protect USA junior to the north, since they don't have much of a military nor a nuclear bomb themselves.

The United States is one of the most developed countries in the world and one of the richest. Money doesn't grow on trees, that money was earned hard over hundreds of years from the day the Decleration of Independence was signed. The United States is popular because we are so rich and have so much to offer. The popular person in school has many friends but also many people that hate them for there popularity, and don't forget the things there friends will say behind there back. Same situation with the U.S.A. Because our coutnry has so much money and so much fame and so many enimies because of our fame, the country must be protected with the best of the best. That's the military and of course our nuclear bombs that will eliminate any small country off the map if needed. We've earned that right AND trust that we won't go nukeing places every other day, which we don't.

By the way:
Im surprised your a fellow American asking this. You should realise how lucky you are to live here.Ya know how I know your American? Because I saw your question about the Cingular cell phone. Cingular is only available in the states.

Every country can have nuclear weapons, the U.S just feels like they have to police the world. Put it this way, pick sides; pick to live in the least of all evils. The U.S has over 40 nuclear missles. Russia has about the same amount if not a bit more. Like Rome, it was the greates of the greatest, if Rome went down so will our global power (eventually) The questions is WHEN. Hey what do you prefer, to live in a country that leads or gets lead. Weapons or no weapons, it will never end. Everyone wants to be the king of the hill. Good luck

Ask the national governments of Russia, France, Great Britain, India, Pakistan, North Korea, China and Israel about their opinions of nuclear weapons. After all, they all possess them.

If you do not like President George W. Bush, why do you just not say so. Asking intellectually deficient questions makes you look intellectually deficient.

Many countries have nuclear weapons, but only one has them in the Middle East - Israel.

The entire Cold War was a joke because we were once threatened with nuclear annihilation by the USSR, but now people in the former USSR live better than we do.

Now, we make a big stink out of Iran having nuclear weapons. If Israel allowed nuclear inspectors, live would be fair and good. However, Israel does not allow nuclear inspectors and no one says another word. Yet, Iran does not want nuclear inspectors and we escalate slowly and slowly.

America isnt the only country with nuclear weapons. China, russia, india etc all have nuclear weapons.
If you understood the destruction of what a nuclear weapon could do, then maybe you'd understand why it doesnt want any countries to have it. If countries such as iran, etc that breed terrorist were to have nuclear weapons, terrorist would easily get hold od these weapons and before you know it they be blowing up cities.

Hey we let other people have nukes, North Korea, Israel, England, France, Germany, Russia, just to name a few. It's not just Bush's policy, we are the UN's police force, and have been since it's inception, because they don't want to start WWIII. We have no problem picking a fight.

We're not the only ones. But I think we have a lot more ethics than some countries we don't want to see with them. Also we have more repercussions if we use them incorrectly from the UN and so on.

They are dangerous and shouldn't be allowed in the wrong hands because these people are willing to kill everyone in the world in the "name of Allah" so they could just do that.

uh, 8 countries have nuclear weapons as you may have heard. I think his majesty has a good point about not wanting someone who thinks a mahdi has been hiding for 1,000 years or that he was enshrouded in light when he spoke to the UN having them. Too bad clinton didn't keep kim jung il, maybe an even bigger nut, from getting them.

I think the real difference that it is likely that there is not even one person with access to U.S. atomic weapons that would sell them or otherwise give them to someone or group that wants to harm other nations. I think most Americans would be willing to give up atomic arms completely, if every other nation or group would do the same; an actually stick to the agreement.

The current policy was in effect long before the current president...
