It's funny because for me i lose my appetite when i get my period.. a week before my period i feel hungry all the time plus bad mood mostly, feel like wanna kill somebody hehe kidding!

Yeah, u crave certain foods because those foods contain the vitamins ur body needs at the time. U are losing blood so u are losing nutrients or something like that, my doctor explained it to me once, it is why a lot of woman (like me) have iron deficiencies.

Yes. Hormone levels affect appetite both directly and by causing low blood sugar, which makes you crave junk food. Not much to do about it, unfortunately.

I've heard that while on your period you burn an extra 1000 calories a day. I aways assumed that that's why I was hungrier on those days.
