the first activity triggered by the sperm is Calcium-flux waving ongoing at the entry-point all around the egg. this has 2 consequences,
1- that several maternal proteins are moved to different centers helping to polarise the egg in two poles (animal and veggetativ)

2- other proteins are changing its' position radial to the eggs-center and so stopping any further sperm entry

Um...Egg activation?

Not sure I understand your question.

Once the sperm enters the egg, the two become one cell, called a zygote. This then begins splitting, therefore doubling the number of total cells with each split.

wen the sperm is in, the sperm realeses all its contents,

ex.
key s=sperm e=egg b=baby

ok, if s+e=b...
u can hav _+e=b
an egg cant go by itself, so, the sperm ferilizes it, giving the egg 23 chromosomes....
