How can a third independent political party be discovered by the internet and the U.S.?

The fact is, there are many parties that attempt to make it as "independent" each election. There are even communist candidates. But, it is not the followers that count, or even the beliefs they hold. It is the money.

Republicans and Democrats have organized over hundreds of years to accumulate money for media coverage and campaigning. These candidates are the only ones anyone hears about, so they are the only ones to really make the cut for the final vote.

There are many other parties in this country but due to allowing people and corporations to fund specific candidates in a relatively uncontrolled manner the other parties have no chance of ever winning. Until you fix funding you are stuck with these two.

Some ideas would be they could use federal money only and they all get an equal share say if they could get enough signatures in ALL states. Or maybe they get no money but the press, who gets to enjoy unlimited freedom of press, have to donate print and television in equal amounts to all qualified candidates. Either one would give other parties a chance they will never get today.

Libertarian. An example Dr Ross an US Grant High alumn of the Class of 1967. He is a Libertarian. Democrats and Republicans are always stealing Libertarian ideas.

The trouble with third parties are that they are spin offs of the main parties. Thus when they go big time people don't see any real difference than the party they're spun from. Thus too few vote for the third party and end up helping to elect the party they hate most by drawing away votes from your idea logical ally. Example: Ralph Nader took just enough votes in Florida to cost Al Gore the election in 2000. Ralph Nader was a green party candidate thus he pulled in liberal voters. Thus we find ourselves in the mess we in today THANKS RALPH YOU SCUMMY JERK!!!!!!!!

One thing is for certain; it has the money. But with that said, I will say there is no clout. Even if there was clout, Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo squandered it by limiting information that China citzens are able to access, all done to retain market share. Also, Georgie Bush has showed there is no power, invading e-mails on innocient Americans, even 75 year old gransmothers, who would be logical voters for a new party voting block..
