I was just listening to My Favorite Things by John Coltrane (studio version), and I was thinking that this song must appeal to any human. Is there any other songs like that in jazz?

Hey Mike,

I don't like jazz! Never have.

But I love Winton Marsailas, his stuff is jazz, but it fools me into thinking that it's not.

Basia - Time and Tide! I love this entire album. It's been awhile since we've heard from her, but I think that she is one of the best instruments that I have ever heard (Yes, I did say she was an instrument!).

Good listening,

James in San Diego
