I know it's a school situation, not a professional one. However, one of the Rules of The Actor I've learned (the hard way) is "Be happy without being thoughtless". I'm not sure if this is your situation, but being overly crazy and exuberant can sometimes be distracting in a theatrical setting. It comes across as "Look at me!" If you show your fellow performers that you are concerned about their success as well, and save your energy for performances, they may start to warm up to you.

there will always be people like that, people who are jealous, those who think they're better. Some of them might even be your 'friends' who suddenly turn ugly on you when you've had some measure of success. its eye-opening, and it may feel horrible at first, but its empowering to know who you can really trust and will always offer support and constructive critiscism. You dont sound like a haughty, condescending person, so i don't think you could be the one causing the problem. It's jealousy in its ugliest form. I think yo should ignore them completely, find out who your friends are, and stick with them. don't stop being over the top!its a great quality, it will keep you fresh :) if the group is too big or overbearing, discuss it with those you do get along with, and try your best to get those from the 'bad' group on to your side so you can hopefully get the others to co-operate. if its really bad, you need to discuss it with a lecturer, who can take steps that wont put u in a worse off position. i really hope this helps; as a performer, you cannot have anything preventing you from performing at your best, and it can place some strain on your vocal chords. Deep breathes and thinking happy thoughts always make me feel better.

Don't be concerned with what non-industry people think. Only talent agents, casting directors, directors, producers, etc. can judge whether or not an individual is talented enough to have a career in show business. Don't listen to anyone else. Good luck.

Well as long as youre being benevolent there shouldnt be a problem; they want to be the best but look what they will do to get it--negativity at you for doing what you love! Keep in mind lots of people are a critic so if you dont want to be judged stay off the stage! (But how will they do it . .. .. )

You should learn this lesson now especially since you are involved in creative endeavors. Not everyone is going to like you. Also, not everyone is going to be nice to you.
You might be doing something to irritate these people. Maybe they are just jealous of you regardless, if you like yourself and are happy then you need to toughen up.
If you aren't happy, maybe you should look at how you are behaving because you might be causing half of your problem.

Try not to rub it in as much, people like that envy you talents and are probably jealous. i would ignore just ignore them, when you get on broadway they'll regret talking about you! just remember to always do what you like best. =)
