Hey I've recently deleted a text file on my computer, and emptied my recycle bin. This was accidentally done.
I know that the content is somewhere still on my Hard drive,
and I also know that there is a way you can restore all your stuff
back on your computer.

I just want to know if there is any other
way to restore what I deleted?

There's a free file recovery utility here you can try:

As people have said though, there's no guarantee here because if you've 'overwritten' the patch of hard drive that files was on in the meantime then it'll be totally lost. Whether that'll have happened though is totally random so there's not much you can do about it except try to recover the file straight away before you do anything else on the computer to minimise the chances of an overwrite.

The Norton utilities by Symantec is great at recovering deleted files as long as you have not over written them with other "stuff". If it's really important to you, I would not create any new files or visit too many web sites before taking action. Remember, every web site you visit creates temporary files on your hard drive. These could be written over your erased files, as their space is now marked as vacant by the FAT or file allocation table.

If the file was on your desktop, use windows restore option.
boot into restore mode & then select snapshot of 2-3 days back when the file was there.

if that doesnt help try & search for easy recovery.

First try to limit the activity on the computer. Too much will eventually overwrite your files. Then, try downloading a file recovery program from www.downloads.com then sort files by free .
