Why do celebrites think that just becuase they are famous we care about how the feel on issues? Have you seen yahoo! with cindy crawford? Cindy wants to hear from you on cancer! Great. Heres a statement for you Cindy...shut up. The only thing I care about her is when I get to see her naked. That goes for all of them. Shut up. keep making movies or music, but don't bother me with your social concience. Does anyone else think this way? If so let me hear from you. If not, don't answer...don't get two points and do not pass go.

It depends on what the issue is and who the person is. If somebody like Paris Hilton decided to stand up for a issue I would ignore it because we all know she's an air head and it's pointless.

I don't think that people should use their celebrity to sway people on political issues. Yes , they have rights too but they can go to a political meeting and air their feelings. In the past some have used award ceremonies to air their issues. This is the wrong forum. An awards ceremony is to honor people for their work. Global warming does not belong on that podium. I agree with you. We don't need to hear it in the way some present it.

I agree! I hate the "Oh, it's a celebrity speaking, we should listen!" attitude. They're just people, being a celebrity doesn't make them more than human.
