while replacing plugs and wires on my motorhome my 7 year old decided to help by pulling the wires off the distributor. I know I should have written them down but didn't, anyone out there have an answer or diagram. shimidog@charter.net

This is a 1989 chevy and the distributoris not round it is oval....

the firring order is on the intake right hand side the number one one the distributor is at 11 o'clock when facing the front of the motor like in the drivers seat looking out order 1, 8,4,3,6,5,7,2 all 1980 to 1987

goto www.boxwrench.net/specs/chevy_bb.htm and it shows a nifty diagram of the firing order and the dist. cap. the # 1 wire is at the 5:30 position on the cap. thes you just follow in order clockwise around the cap 18436572.
