you'd need their distance apart. say; one point was 500 ft and another was 400 ft, and their distance was 300 ft apart. it's an elevation decrease of 100 ft over a distance of 300 ft, or 100/300 or 1/3, which is the slope. (m=1/3)

use the elevations of the stations to calculate difference between them -- that's your rise. the run is on your own
