Living in Los Angeles, I have seen my fair share over the years. Mostly at the Airport on some Celebrity Golf tournaments.
I remember seeing Charlton Heston, in the Airport, getting his luggage, trying to work his way through the crowds there.
I smiled at him and said, " This is worse than parting the Red Sea for you".
He just laughed and said, "Yes, I never have my staff, when I really need it"
We all laughed at that.
So mostly, they are just people after all, and deal with their fans in a great way. Most are pretty much down to earth folks. At least those who are giving of their time to help their favorite Charities.

This has happened to me, so I will share, a little known fact about where I live is that some stars like to vacation close by, although I have never been one to scream at the television when the Beatles appeared on Ed Sullivan, yes I'm that old or young at heart, I never saw the point to all that screaming of fans as we the audience lost out on the great performances.

No I did not go crazy even though this actor is one of my favourites ever since I saw him appear on Lost In Space on only one show and have followed his career since, I also had a wild teenage crush on him, as all the girls at school did.

When he noted the recognition in my eyes he lowered his face and pulled down his hat. No I'm not telling who he was, but it was him alright. I just smiled and went on my business in the little store. Actors work hard and they deserve a little R & R too.

i know a few celebs personally and i treat them like the normal flesh and blood humans they are. they are like anyone else but have jobs that put them in the public eye more than some others. some of them are nice, some not so nice, some outgoing, some shy, some confident, others with self-esteem issues, just like the rest of the world. something that may surprise some people though is that most of them look completely different in their ordinary lives, almost to the point of being unrecognisable by people who don't know them personally.

if it was a celebrity i really like. . . i would probably be freaking out a little inside, but i would definitely stay cool, because i don't think they appreciate it all too much when people go crazy. i mean, they ARE humans! so treat them as such.
also, i would think that being treated like a superhuman would kind of put pressure on anyone not to screw up. . . and everyone should be allowed to screw up once in a while :)

the fact is they ARE normal flesh and blood humans. they're just talented and/or very known. i'd treat them like a person, because that's exactly what they are. a normal human being. of course, if you look up to them and respect them, then there's nothing wrong with showing that. but it IS possible to show respect without freaking out on them. i don't think that they like that much anyways.

Nah, I'd just treat them normal....I have met Bruce Willis at his bar called the Mint in Sun Valley...what a snob he was! Really wouldn't give him the time of day if I had another chance to see him.
And then, I met Clint Eastwood...he helped us pull a car out of a snow bank in Sun Valley also....what a wonderful man he is!!

Jack Palance used to walk through a flea market I used to go to and I just ignored him. For the most part, celebrities think they are hot sh i t and I don't go for that attitude.
