Definitely. Because I believe God is a god of justice. We are all sinners, and deserve the death penalty and separation from God for eternity. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, taken God's name in vain, or looked upon a person with lust? Then you have broken God's commandments and sinned. The wages of sin are death. But, God so loved the world (including you) that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross on our behalf, so that we could be set free and live for eternity with God in Heaven. God believes in justice, and He gave His Son to pay our death penalty. That is love, to lay down your life for your friends. I definitely believe in an "eye for an eye" if you take a life, you forfeit yours.

Unfortunately, for some people, it's the only form of punishment they will understand. For some people it is also the only deterrent. Today's legal system is too liberal.
