Basically it will work like your cell phone, but it will give you higher transfer speeds. Currently you can use your 3gpp cell phone like a modem since most phones have a connection to the internet. Charges will be the same as if you were using the built in internet service. Usually this service sucks. Cell phones networks weren't designed for high bandwidth. EV-DO is basically 3gpp2. it's like going from a dial-up modem to a cable modem.
