I'm taking an online computer class and this was one of the questions I'm supposed to find the answer to. I've tried a bunch of different variations on search engines and have not found a thing. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it! Thanks :)

The number of windows you can open is determined by the size of your swap disk. As more memory is needed for new windows, existing processes are swapped to the swap desk.
