Cause Jimmy is a gangster and he's so cool that he can pull off cracking corn. Even if nobody cares.

He's self-motivated and isn't influenced by the opinions of others. Or, he knows that when his master comes back, he's going to be in a lot of trouble if that corn's not cracked.

Poor ole Jimmy. Never was the quickest study and still having problems understanding when people don't give a dam. If I see him I'll try and pass on that his behaviour is starting to become irritating and hopefully he will cease and desist immediately.
