I cook!!!
#1: fast food is NOT health food
#2: we live a little over 7 miles from the nearest fast food joint
#3: I want my boys to grow up & know that food does not consist
of greasy crap in a paper bag!!!
We do enjoy going to pizza & we all love Subway sandwiches. Otherwise we have a steer, 2 lambs & 2 hogs butchered & in the freezer. We also purchase pasture raised chicken already butchered & freezer ready. After running the boys around to all of their stuff & long days working the ranch, sometimes eating out is just too much work!!!!!

That depends on what you mean by scratch, that would mean making the bread with flour, eggs just for the dough, then you have meant other things like making soup, you need the soup bone , the celery, carrots , onions , then it has to cook long then .
you prepare whatever else is included, If woman had the time too
they might, but I think those days have been long replaced wiith microwave everything . instant cakes , old fashioned cooking to me tastes so much better, if you put in the time you will be getting
better nutriion and lots of dinner guests. I love to see woman cooking, men too . Popping a meal in the micro or going to a fast food is easy , But good things never are easy, Get back to the basics, Its ok once in awhile , but with all those preservatives
I still hate to say this and hope its not so, but most women got lazy to cook from scratch, and as far as taste ,simply no match

I love cooking! Not everything I make is from scratch....I do use some canned items or pre-made sauces when cooking. But sometimes, if I have the time....I will cook something completely from scratch. Home made food tastes so much better than fast food.

I cook from scratch.
I work a full time job too! It's not that much effort, honestly - there are simple things you can make from scratch that don't involve hours and hours in the kitchen. I like the fact that I KNOW what's going into my food - that I'm using good quality ingredients, nothing is spoiled, and I don't have to worry about some zit-faced punk kid spitting in my food.

I can't answer for everyone, but I cook at home almost every day. We eat out maybe twice a month or so. And only one of those times will be drive thru.

A lot of women use Market Day or cook supper, not quite from scratch. They use frozen or premixed things.

I am a wife, mother, professional, and no one in my house eats out; I cook daily from scratch, drive thru and restaurant only weekends.

i see more in my drive thru than i should and i often ask myself if anyone cooks at home anymore. i think that it stems from having to have a 2 income household now since the cost of living in our society is soo high. i don't blame them...i know they are all tired.

Neither. I make most of my meals at home, but not from scratch. I mean, I don't make my own pastas and sauces. I get the store bought types and make the meals at home. We don't have to time (and for a lot of us, the knowledge) to make the meals from scratch, and yet we don't have the money to eat out all the time.
