I think your stereotype is pretty correct.
The only classics I like are
"It's a Wonderful life"
"The 7 Year Itch" and
"12 Angry Men"

I'm 28, but where I live is a secret.

Well i am 29, a woman, and God Bless me, a Woman in the South.

I of course adore Gone With The Wind, not becasue of the content but because of the actors, the personal stories involved, and the passion.

Casablanca is also a movie adore. I really enjoy war movies, but this has that in the subtext of the film making it more endearing.

I also adore old holiday films...

My personal favorite is White Christmas with Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye and Vera Ellen. I love music and dancing and this movie is just wonderful. I can watch it any time of year....

I also love the original of Miracle on 34th street.

I know this is an odd answer but i also love "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne. It was not a rowdy cowboy movie, it was totally different and a love story to boot. LOVE IT.

I also like to see originals of movie that have been remade recently...

The Thomas Crown Affair with Steve McQueen
The Runaway...
The original Oceans Eleven, I mean seriously we are talking about Sinatra here...

I could go on but i think i will stop here, i have said enough!!

thanks for caring about older movies - they are just as important as any new movie and most of them are far superior to new stuff...

Depends on what are considered classics and what is considered "younger people".

I know, I'm weird, but I'm 24 and I like the Shirley Temple movies, biography type movies like The Benny Goodman Story (with Steve Allen), The Glenn Miller Story (with Jimmy Stewart), and The Fighting Sullivans, various others with people like Fred Astaire, Leslie Caron, etc. often times stupid musicals like 7 brides for 7 brothers, Meet Me in St. Louis, etc. It depends on the story line and my mood I guess.

to name a few.........
East of Eden (1955)
Rebel without a cause (1955)
A streetcar named Desire (1951)
Casablanca (1942)
Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)
What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962)
To Sir, with Love (1967)

I'm 24 but i am a big fan of classics from the 50's and 60's.....

I love classics, always watch them with my mom. They're so much better than most of the movies produced today. I'm 19 and I live in SW Florida.

With video gaming, most young people today are too stupid to follow an intelligent plot and too stupid to listen to intelligent dialogue. Its the continued dumbing down of Western Civilization. Meanwhile, China consumes more and more of the World economy, like Ms. PacMan on a steroid rage.
