Will my Linksys cable router work on my new PC just by plugging it in?

I would like to purchase a new PC, but am not sure if I can just disconnect my cable router and just plug it into my new PC. Do I need special instructions?

Plug the computer into the router
Go into My Network Places
Click on the "Set up a Network..." choose in the bar on the left
It will walk you through the setup
Real easy, no special knowledge needed

It shouldn't require any extra setup, just plug it in and you're good to go.
