Because football there has just developed in the past few years, so the older teams didnt get that advantage of training and coaching... of course as with everything, things improve with time, so i think in about 15 years or so they will be an ok team... of coursee every country developes so they wont be the best team... it also depends on how much raw talent they have and how much money they are willing to put into it

America's money is better off spent on baseball and American football, at least that's my experience in the Midwest. And the children who do play football may end up losing their intrest and go to baseball, American football, basketball, etc.

yea like some people have said, a lot of kids who play soccer only play as a hobby and then move onto different activities. it could also be because maybe the "soccer generation" hasn't reached the senior level yet. hopefully one day we'll have some really, really talented players playing for our national team!

when it comes soccer, which is treated as a side sport in america, almost all americans that watch it (less than 20%) only care about winning, they have no love for the actual game like the rest of the world does. and you are right that team usa is terrible in this sport.

I can only speak from Canadian experience. A ton of kids are enrolled in soccer when they are little, but when they get older its hockey all the way. Perhaps the U.S. has the same experience with basketball, baseball and American football where your country really excels.

The US cares very little about European Football (soccer here). Mainly women play European Football in our nation. We have our own game called American Football.

SOCCER is just a past time thing with mothers with their children here in the U.S.A. Baseball is the ultimate sport here in AMERICA.
