I have a hard drive connected to my computer with an IDE to USB cable. I've installed the drivers for it, restarted, and I've connected the cables in the right order. The drive shows up in the Device Manager, but not in My Computer. I've gone to Disk Management in Administrative Tools, but it's not there either. Do I need to format it in the BIOS, or some thing? If so, how do I go about doing so. I'm using a dell BIOS.

Go into the Device Manager
Uninstall the drive
Go under the USB group and uninstall everything in that group
Reboot the computer
It will reinstall the USB drivers and then all attached items
Hopefully it will detect the drive this time
