I took the SAT in 1985, and I got 700 and 730, but I don't remember which was which. There was also some "Test of Basic Written English" on which I think I got 60/60 which they were quick to point out was NOT exceptional.
I'm from Canada, we really didn't know anything about the SAT until we took it (me and a few other people in my school who were applying for scholarships).
I don't think I've ever been officially told my IQ.

No, I didn't take the SAT, I took the ACT, and I only know they were high enough to get a scholarship. IQ tests are for people who have to PROVE they are smart. Some of us just Git-R-Done.
P.S. It's easy to remember my ASVAB scores because there were a lot of "99%" in them.

Was it ever required to get IQ tests done? I don't think I'll ever take one.

But I'm not 30, so I can't help you there.
