Absolutely not! There are some horrific names out there between the old "change every vowel but pronounce it the same" to lets see how cutesy we can get!
I got a nice normal name, but there are Illyzybyths (Elizabeths) and Bambi's out there who really need some help.

I never changed mine. There was a little pressure to do so when my kids started school...everyone wonders if I'm divorced, etc. If you find a man with the confidence to marry you without making you change your name, grab him up! I get a lot of chastising from other men that it is insulting to my husband...believe me, he is not insulted. He is proud that he has such a confident, beautiful, intelligent woman for a wife.

I changed mine when I got married, same way my mother did. So, my original name was really my father's. I did it out of respect for my husband and the family we created.
