Taking a warm bath always helps me out. Also look on the web to see if there are other remedies to soothing yeast infections. I used to know many, but I forgot most of them.

Home remedies don't work for this. People will tell you to eat yogurt, but it's not a cure. It only knocks the symptoms back temporarily. The only way to cure it is to stay away from anything that feeds the yeast, for weeks or months until it is starved out dead. That means no sugar of any kind, no bread or starches or starchy vegetables, no fermented drinks like beer, no fruit.

Or you can get a diflucan from your doctor and knock it out in one dose, covered by insurance.

other than a med from the doc. the best way is to douche with a week backing soda and water or week vinegar and water. yeast can not live in an acid environment . yogurt is great as well ( eating it that is) the bacteria helps keep the yeast in your body in check. .

my nursing instructor told our class to use unflavored yogurt, at room temp, rub it on and let it remain uncovered for about 5-10 minutes, the rinse. a yeast infection is an unbalance in the normal bacteria found in the vaginal area, and the yogurt is said to restore the pH balance.

yes, if already have yeast infection not 2 weeks out of control you eat 3 cultured yogurts (low in fat for your arteries) daily for 1 week,,then continue one daily for prevention if you are prone to have yeast. some doctors have been said to recommend douching with yogurt. never tried it personally. douching with store purchased douches can make yeast worse by upsetting the ph balance of your natural flora. personally, i would buy the monistat to clear it up and use yogurt to keep it away.

I'm not really sure myself but whenever i got to the drug store there's always a bunch of junk that's suppose to help yeast infections. Go to the nearest ekerds or walgreens.

The most interesting one I've seen is to make yogurt "pops" where you would do like the tampon applicator as mentioned earlier and put it in the freezer so if you have one you can just put the yogurt "pop" right in... plain yogurt though :)

From my OB/GYN--Plain (no fruit) yogurt. Get applicator (I got one from my pharmacist). Fill with the yogurt before bed--insert in vagina. Leave in over night. Do for a few days to a week. Worked for me.
