...or does it have to find you?

Pick up a Bible. Don't start with the Old Testament. It's boring and outdated. Start with the New Testament. Just read as much as you can about Jesus. Go over the Sermon of the Mount a couple times. You'll begin to believe. I'm not particularly religious but the New Testament gets me pretty emotional when I read it. Faith isn't an external entity. They say your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Just keep reading the Bible, your time will come.

If you want to find faith then you won't be able to stop yourself. It will be there all your life - a still, small voice inside you.

I think the desire to find faith probably means it's already found you.

And once you become aware of faith you'll look back over your life and realise it was there the whole time.

There are at least two kinds of faith: The faith you find if you go looking - which is easy to get, makes you feel great but is prone to error and somewhat fickle when the going gets tough. Then there is the kind of faith that finds you when you least expect it. This is the kind of faith that is heartier, more sustaining, and ultimately, more meaningful.

Be careful though - neither is entirely evil or good.

Hello.A few years back most young people were reading,"The Way of the Pilgrim," a short spiritual classic book written by a 19th century Anonymous Russian. In the story, a young man, peasant, wanders his country in search of the truth. He finds that truth by repeating the Jesus Pray,"Lord Jesus Christ,Have Mercy on Me."
No matter what he is doing he consistantly verbalizes the prayer as he goes about his journey. Then he realizes one day that he no longer is speaking the prayer because he has become the prayer. The book is available everywhere. What I am trying to say is that everything you need to find is inside you already. The more you look, the less you will find.

Yes you will find faith if look for it - that's easy.

Losing faith is much harder. For me it felt akin to hanging off the empire state building by my toenails. (not that I've ever done that but I imagine that is what it would feel like.)

Terrifying to lose your faith - easy and calming to find faith in something. After all, we tell ourselves lies every day and believe them - why not about faith in the supernatural etc... ?

Faith is a personal adpation. You have to look inside yourself with honesty and recognition.

You don't find faith, you develop it. It isn't the destination that makes you happy, it is the journey.

Faith is just a pretty word that means irrational belief. Some people seem to be pre-inclined to it, others seem to resist it no matter how hard others try to brainwash them into it.
