My guess is that because they are
crispy like a cracker,
all home made cookies i had as a
child from home or anywhere were
soft, so my guess is a true cookie is soft
& crackers are crispy, hence animal
crackers with a snap are refered to as a
cracker .... When cookies age with time
& light hitting them they get crispy ...
This is only a guess from what i remember
how the consistency of home made cookies
were ....
Its just a guess silly rabbit !!!!
So don't quote me .....
