NEVER use soap to wash your face! It will just dry it. A dry complexion encourages zits to appear.
First of all, do not use anything that dries your skin. It is the last thing you want to do. Your zits will only get worse.
Second, go to a dermatologist. Acne has many causes. Try to treat the cause too, not only the symptoms. If your situation is serious, you may need antibiotics. You need to see a doctor for the best advice.
Do not squeeze your zits. They may get infected this way.
Never use products designed for oily skin because they will dry it.
Remember, a dry complexion loves zits. Always clean and wash your face. Also use a toner (non-alcoholic) to close up your pores.
Good luck and a healthy skin!

Soap is not effective, because it dries the skin and therefore causes an irritation that will determine the production of even more sebum(which causes acne).Antibiotics are the only useful choice, and the treatment should combine ingested antibiotics(pills) with a solution based on erythromicin to be applied regularly on the face. Cosmetic products are not very efficient ,as all they do is clean the surface of the skin.Dermato-cosmetic products(which unfortunately are much more expensive) are recommende for deep cleaning and desinfection.

It really depends on your skin. Everyone is different. One that I've personally seen work for a lot of people is University Medical Acne Free. It's a white, orange, and blue packaging. It's at Walmart, Sam's Club, and Longs. It's on sale at Longs this week. Saturday is the last day.

oh and toothpaste doesn't clog pores too?!?! pft...try stridex. the alcohol is not too tough on the skin, but exfoliates enough to get the dirt out of pores. NEVER use soap, unless it is a special acne fighting one. dove soap is soft on the skin, but not meant for regular face cleansing. I'd stick with proactive. it supposedly helps.

Proactiv works great, just give it time and use it as directed. Soap can be drying and may clog pores.
