A rectangle's area is its base times its height, so 32 square inches / 4 inches = 8 inches

area = length * height
32 = 4 * s
s = 8

divide 4 from 32

height x base = area of rectangle or squares
answer is 8 inch square inches

if the are is 32 right? you get area by A= b times h now plug in A=32 and b=4 divide by 4 and that should = 8

If area is base x height, then I suppose 32 divided by 4, which is 8.

don't give away the answer, just tell her 32/4 or she could use a calculator or read the answers in the back of the book, or use the formula I learned in jr high base X height equals Area. so if you have area and base then you just divide to get height!!!!!!

Area = L x W You know the area and the length, now you need the reverse operation to find the width.

4 = L Area = 32
