I wouldn't mind Portland having one, but if they just add an expansion team then that messes up the perfect 32-team, 16-conference, 4-division league structure.

Both should have NFL teams the problem in both areas are their needs to be a NFL stadium built. Portland does excellent job of supporting U of Oregon and OSU. They have a ton of fans going to Seattle.Las Vegas is the fastest growing city in the country they will one day be a professional teams in Baseball, basketball and Football . The question is build a stadium and they will come.

Gambling Laws prevent Las Vegas from having professional sports teams (UNLV arenas are actually outside the city limits) So the question begs, is there enough interest (read as income oppurtunity) in Portland to warrant someone going through the trouble of starting a pro team?

Las Vegas should definitely get a team. The city has grown quite a bit over the past ten years and is actually developing into quite a place. A professional sports team could only help them more.

Portland may as well get a team too, though L.A. and San Antonio ought to have teams as well.

No, Portland is too small and they like the Seahawks + either the Ducks/Beavers (college teams).

Vegas shouldn't becuase of the gambling. everyone bets on football.

Absolutely not! Las Vegas is not a sports town, they are a gambling town. Portland is a fisher town. So don't get locked up in a pipe dream.
