I have a weird co-worker who makes comments that his wife is some contract killer type person for the govt. He says things like "my wife has one of those guns called a room sweeper" or "if I tell my wife I didn't like the lunch she made, she'd beat me up" or "I ask my wife "so honey, how was work? did you kill anyone today". Also made comments like "my wife didn't go to college because the govt picked her out of high school to come work for them right away." Another thing he says is "you can meet my wife but if I ask you the next day what color her eyes are you won't remember because she's trained to blend in."
The other thing I know is she works nights, knows a fair amount about computers. I've met her. She's very plain. Not in crazy good shape. Looks dumpy.
Here's my theory: she might be a computer person for NSA, like listening to transmissions. But if she were a contract killer or whatever, he wouldn't know. Also, hello, do they work the night shift? Seriously.

Fortunately I took another position where I'm in my own office in another building but when I worked with him, we were in adjacent cubes and no option. He talks so loud you can't help but hear him. And he repeats himself about it ALL the time.

IF.. that was all true he would NOT..be making comments like that... Sounds like he just likes to brag...and get attention....and people like that.... don't have ANYTHING.. to brag about.. so they make things up! Don't even waste your time..trying to....make him..say the truth.... That is what he wants.. ATTENTION!.. People like that should just be ignored..plain and simple!!

This sounds pretty weird. I bet he's pulling your leg. If she was a contract killer for the govt., I seriously doubt that he would go around advertising it. She would not need money, so why would she work nights in an office? The govt. does not take kids out of high school to be killers.( except legally, for the war) And I'm sure that govt. hired killers ( the CIA?) have to be in decent shape. LOL!

Sounds like he's watched too many movies or crime drama tv shows and makes that stuff up to get attention. Especially if after you've seen his wife and she looks nothing like she would have a job like that, this is my opinion.

Why don't you try to time your coffee breaks so that you and this moron aren't end in the same place/same time anymore. At least this way you won't have to listen to all this dribble concerning his wife's imagined career.

THINK THIS GUY LIKES TO HEAR HIMSELF TALK. HIM AND HIS WIVE MIGHT TALK ABOUT THIS AND GET A BIG LAUGH OUT OF IT. OR SHE MIGHT NOT EVEN KNOW ABOUT HIS BIG STORIES.
